How long does it take to install a furnace?

Can I install a new furnace myself?

No, we highly recommend that you do not install a new furnace yourself. To install a new furnace, you need to connect to gas lines, which requires a permit, and improper connections can cause gas leaks and explosions. Also, improper venting can cause carbon monoxide into your home, which is extremely dangerous. Some other important reasons you shouldn’t install a new furnace are permits and inspections that you need a professional to pass, warranty issues that come up with installing yourself, and electrical connections that need to be done correctly. Installing a new furnace on your own is extremely dangerous and something we highly recommend you never do.
